Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive clinical services to patients with leukemia, lymphoma, and other cancer diagnoses
- Support the care and management of adult oncology patients
- Conduct therapeutic drug monitoring to ensure safe and effective treatment
- Execute established pharmacy-driven protocols as approved
- Evaluate and verify chemotherapy prescriptions for accuracy and safety
- Oversee sterile preparation procedures to maintain compliance and quality
- Supply accurate and timely drug-related information to healthcare providers
- Enhance medication regimens to achieve optimal therapeutic outcomes
- Assess clinical research protocols for pharmaceutical components
- Manage medications used in research studies
- Contribute to the creation of oncology diagnosis-related group guidelines
- Assist in maintaining and revising drug monographs
- Present quarterly updates on diagnosis-related group changes at Oncology P&T subcommittee meetings
- Deliver patient counseling and ongoing follow-up for the expanding oral chemotherapy specialty pharmacy initiative
