About the Role

TD Insurance is hiring a Personal Banker Trainee in Granby to build lasting customer relationships and provide trusted financial planning advice. In this role, you will promote a range of banking solutions, conduct financial reviews, and help customers achieve their financial goals, guided by our vision to Be the Better Bank.

What You'll Do

  • Advise customers on high-level investment and credit solutions from TD's offerings.
  • Engage customers with thoughtful financial questions to deepen relationships and create positive experiences.
  • Increase customer financial confidence by providing personalized advice and addressing concerns.
  • Act as a point of contact for frontline staff to resolve customer problems.
  • Maintain professional branch spaces according to marketing and regulatory guidelines.
  • Conduct financial reviews with customers, discuss portfolio updates, and suggest personalized solutions.
  • Stay current on emerging issues, evolving regulations, and industry codes of conduct.
  • Participate in process improvement opportunities to protect the organization.
  • Strive to achieve and improve service level agreements and productivity targets.
  • Ensure documents are prepared in compliance with regulations and accurately reflect business intentions.
  • Participate fully as a team member, help build a positive work environment, and assist others.

What We're Looking For

  • High school diploma and/or 1 year of relevant experience.
  • Completion of IFIC or an equivalent industry certification.
  • CFSA must be completed within 12 months of being hired.
  • Sound knowledge of advanced investing and credit processes, banking solutions, and concepts.
  • Proficiency in software tools including MS Office and internet applications.
  • Tactful communicator able to exchange ideas and customer information concisely.
  • Self-initiator with strong organizational, planning, and time management skills.

Nice to Have

  • Post-Secondary or Undergraduate degree in a related field.
  • Real estate secured lending and/or investment experience.
