This role is responsible for translating complex business needs into functional requirements within the PeopleSoft HCM environment. You will serve as a key point of contact between business stakeholders, clients, and technical teams, ensuring alignment throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and document detailed business requirements for large-scale, complex initiatives
- Collaborate with HR and IT teams to shape system solutions that support evolving business processes
- Lead design discussions and contribute to architectural decisions based on functional expertise
- Develop comprehensive test strategies, including test plans, scripts, and support for user acceptance testing
- Facilitate meetings with diverse groups across locations, managing participation from both local and remote attendees
- Present findings, data flows, and process impacts clearly to technical and non-technical audiences
- Support integration efforts with international teams, adjusting schedules as needed to align across time zones
- Build trust and maintain productive relationships in a virtual, collaborative workspace
Qualifications
Candidates must have at least five years of experience in functional analysis with a focus on HR systems. A solid grasp of human resources operations and data structures is essential, along with proven success in gathering requirements and driving consensus across departments.
Strong facilitation abilities, analytical thinking, and clear communication are critical. You should be comfortable working independently, managing competing priorities, and adapting to change in fast-moving environments. Familiarity with global HR practices and experience working across regions is highly valued.
Preferred Background
- Five or more years of hands-on experience with PeopleSoft HCM functionality
- Deep knowledge of Core HR, manager self-service, and employee self-service modules
- Experience with PeopleSoft version 9.2
- Understanding of software development methodologies including Agile and Waterfall
- Proven ability to lead end-to-end testing, including defect tracking and resolution
- Skill in working across organizational levels and geographic boundaries
- Self-driven mindset with the ability to navigate uncertainty and propose practical solutions
