We are recruiting a Finance Director to guide the financial operations of the Jewish Federation of Greater Atlanta, Atlanta Jewish Foundation, and Community Health and Welfare Trust. The ideal candidate will lead a high-performing finance and accounting team, delivering exceptional internal and external service. This role demands comprehensive fiscal oversight, ensuring robust management, regulatory compliance, and strategic financial storytelling that supports organizational decision-making. Our comprehensive compensation package includes a salary range of $170,000 - $185,000, complemented by medical, vision, dental, life, and disability insurance, a 403(b) retirement plan, paid time off, and additional benefits! Requirements for our Director of Finance: - Bachelor's degree and Masters in Business Administration or CPA required; - Minimum 10 years' successful experience in accounting operations and financial reporting in a complex organization required; - Experience owning responsibility for financial data quality, reporting, tax oversight, and audit coordination; - Experience leading, coaching and managing accounting professional teams, including leadership of other leaders; - Public accounting, nonprofit accounting, and grants management strongly preferred; - Knowledge of accounting software like Abila MIP and Salesforce a plus; - Genuine passion for our mission and commitment to strengthening Jewish community life. Responsibilities for our Director of Finance: - Executing short-term and long-term strategic plans to meet organizational objectives; - Building strategy to ensure a positive work environment and culture of engagement and growth; - Coaching and developing Finance team members to achieve goals; - Ensuring accurate financial records for multiple entities per accounting principles; - Ensuring regulatory compliance and performing enterprise-level tax preparation; - Providing leadership to maintain lean, efficient, effective, and systematic department operations; - Demonstrating accountability for finance team results; - Other duties as assigned.
