Postman is hiring a People Operations Coordinator (Contractor)

About the Role

Postman is seeking a highly organized and proactive People Operations Coordinator to support the People team during a period of rapid growth and system transitions. This contract-to-permanent role is based in Cupertino with hybrid requirements and involves ensuring data integrity, streamlining onboarding, maintaining employee documentation, and supporting day-to-day People Operations tasks.

What You'll Do

  • Support data migration and cleanup efforts from Rippling to Workday in preparation for system launch.
  • Collaborate with the People team to ensure accurate and timely data entry and maintenance.
  • Help with employee document download and archiving.
  • Assist with data review and reconciliation.
  • Support additional ad hoc data cleanup initiatives.
  • Assist in managing employee files: create new files and upload key documents (resumes, offer letters, PIIAs, job descriptions).
  • Support remote I-9 completion and verification process.
  • Review background checks (criminal, employment, education, discrepancies, etc.).
  • Draft and send People Action Notice letters (e.g., changes in role, manager, title, department, or location).
  • Assist with benefits questions from employees.
  • Manage and respond to Jira tickets, ensuring timely follow-up and escalation where needed.
  • Monitor and respond to inquiries in the People Ops Slack channel.
  • Track and send reminders for required compliance trainings (e.g., Navex).
  • Run and manage the bi-weekly onboarding report to support training compliance.
  • Provide backup coverage during team member PTO or absences.
  • Assist with new hire onboarding processes, including New Hire Orientation.
  • Assist with Sales Bootcamp (Flight School).
  • Handle training reminders and scheduling.
  • Provide support on various People Operations projects and initiatives as needed.

What We're Looking For

  • Excellent organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively.

Nice to Have

  • 3-5 years prior experience in People/HR Operations or a related administrative role.
  • Familiarity with HR systems such as Rippling and Workday.

Compensation: $35.00/hr to $40.00/hr with a competitive equity package.

Work Mode

Hybrid role based out of the Cupertino office. Must be willing to travel to other Bay Area offices as needed and participate in meetings across various time zones. Locations include Cupertino, San Francisco, and Berkeley.
