HDI Group is hiring a People Lead for Software Development Underwriting. In this leadership role, you will guide software development teams within the Agile Release Train (ART) Underwriting at HDI Global, focusing on Underwriting Applications. Your core responsibilities will center on leadership, employee development, and strategically advancing AI integration within software engineering practices.

What You'll Do

Take disciplinary, organizational, and budgetary responsibility for software development teams within the ART Underwriting.
Encourage the professional and personal growth of team members and promote self-organized, accountable work practices.
Drive the adoption and continuous improvement of AI-supported development practices, such as GitHub Copilot, AI Code Review, AI-powered test automation, and architecture scans.
Develop AI literacy and engineering excellence within your teams, ensuring effective and responsible use of AI tools.
Support and foster a feedback-oriented culture of trust with open communication structures.
Strategically collaborate with other People Leads and ART Leadership on the development of all software developers.
Proactively work with Capability Managers and Architects to integrate AI competency into the capability roadmap.

What We're Looking For

A successfully completed degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, or a similar field.
Several years of relevant leadership experience within agile software development teams.
Proven experience in driving engineering excellence.
In-depth knowledge of development methods and architectural management techniques.
A strong leadership personality focused on collaboration, mentoring, and empowerment.
Well-developed communication and conflict management skills.
Excellent German and English language skills (C1 level).
