Responsibilities
- Conduct routine check-ups, vaccinations, and health screenings in accordance with Canadian Pediatric Society (CPS) guidelines.
- Diagnose and treat a variety of childhood illnesses, injuries, and developmental disorders.
- Provide guidance to parents on immunizations, nutrition, mental health, and preventive care tailored to Ontario's public health standards.
- Refer patients to specialists and work collaboratively with allied healthcare professionals as needed.
- Maintain detailed and accurate electronic medical records (EMRs) while adhering to Ontario’s health data and privacy regulations.
Requirements
- Medical degree with certification in Paediatrics from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (RCPSC) or equivalent.
- Licensed to practice medicine in Ontario (CPSO certification).
- Membership in the Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA).
- Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively with children, families, and a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
Nice to Have
- Familiarity with Ontario’s healthcare system, including OHIP billing practices.
- Skills in technology and experience with various EMR’s and Microsoft Teams.
- Ability to work in unique, fast-paced environments.
- Strong knowledge of pediatric medical theory and clinical practice.
- Excellent interpersonal and listening communication, and teamwork skills.
- Excellent critical thinking, synthesis, organizational and decision-making skills.
- High adaptability capacity.
- Registration in other provinces.
