McCormick is looking for a Payroll Manager to provide operational leadership for our payroll processes across the EMEA region. In this role, you will ensure the reliability, continuity, and quality of payroll in a complex multi-country environment, with occasional interactions in North America.
What You'll Do
- Supervise and coordinate payroll operations across multiple EMEA countries, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and consistency.
- Act as a senior escalation point for complex payroll issues and cross-functional operational challenges.
- Serve as a backup for key functions within the region, notably UK payroll if necessary.
- Provide occasional support for activities outside EMEA, including North America and South Africa.
- Support the France Payroll team on complex or high-stakes activities.
- Provide expertise on specific cases or processes like profit-sharing calculations and complex regulatory changes.
- Monitor performance indicators (KPIs), service levels, and the quality of payroll process execution across countries.
- Identify operational risks and secure the continuity of payroll activities for your assigned scope.
- Ensure quality documentation, audit preparation, and compliance with internal policies and local legislation.
- Contribute to internal and external audits as needed.
- Work closely with HR, Finance, IT, and Total Rewards teams to ensure alignment and a high level of service.
What We're Looking For
- Higher education in Finance, Accounting, Management, or equivalent.
- Significant experience in payroll, ideally gained in complex multi-country environments.
- Proven experience managing or coordinating payroll across an EMEA scope.
- Good knowledge of French payroll legislation.
- Experience managing complex situations and payroll escalations.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and strong data analysis skills.
- Natural leadership, influencing skills, and comfort in a matrix environment.
- Fluent English is essential.

- Exposure to North America payroll.
- Knowledge of SAP.
