Lime is looking for a Payroll Manager, EMEA to lead our payroll operations across Europe and the Middle East. You will ensure timely and accurate payroll delivery while championing the employee experience through clear support and process improvement.

What You'll Do

Lead a team of payroll professionals, investing in their training, development, and providing feedback.
Manage end-to-end payroll operations across 20+ countries in Europe and the Middle East, ensuring full compliance with local laws and tax regulations.
Analyze and improve current payroll processes, identifying opportunities for automation, integration, and standardization.
Collaborate with HR Operations on researching and answering employee payroll queries, providing timely, clear, and compassionate support.
Partner with HR, Finance, and IT teams to integrate systems, resolve issues, improve internal controls, and streamline workflows.
Oversee relationships with payroll service providers, ensuring data accuracy, service level adherence, and seamless delivery.
Maintain thorough documentation of payroll policies and procedures, staying current with changes in relevant legislation.
Lead or support payroll-related audits, both internal and external.
Act as the primary escalation point for payroll issues, audits, tax inquiries, and regulatory changes across EMEA.

What We're Looking For

Excellent interpersonal, communication, and analytical skills.
Experience with HR and payroll systems (e.g., Workday, Cloudpay).
Strong understanding of payroll compliance, reviews, and controls.
7+ years of payroll experience in a multi-country environment, including knowledge of European payroll regulations, local tax regimes, social security, and GDPR/privacy requirements.
Ability to collaborate across teams and international time zones.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, HR, or a related field.
