Role Overview
As a Payroll Expert, you will serve as the regional authority for payroll operations, overseeing the complete payroll lifecycle in France and other trained countries. Your work will ensure strict adherence to local legal and tax regulations while maintaining precision in payroll execution and reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess, select, and implement payroll software that aligns with technical and operational requirements
- Manage accurate and timely payroll processing across assigned regions
- Prepare, verify, and reconcile internal payroll reports in line with local authority standards
- Oversee critical local HR and payroll functions, including involuntary deductions, employee onboarding, and offboarding
- Coordinate and reconcile payroll expense collections with financial outflows
- Monitor changes in local labor laws and tax policies, ensuring timely implementation across teams
- Support internal and external stakeholders by resolving complex payroll and HR inquiries
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance payroll processes amid rapid growth
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in payroll and HR within the relevant region
- In-depth knowledge of local payroll regulations and compliance frameworks
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical topics clearly
- Advanced proficiency in local payroll platforms and intermediate skills in Excel or Google Sheets
- Fluency in English
Preferred Experience
- Prior experience managing payroll technology vendors or external providers
- Background in implementing payroll systems on recognized industry platforms
- Exposure to multi-country payroll environments
- Familiarity with multiple payroll technologies

Work Environment
