Resorts World Catskills is hiring a Payroll Clerk II to manage the complete weekly payroll cycle for all company payrolls. In this critical role, you will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing in a dynamic hospitality environment.
What You'll Do
- Prepare and process weekly payrolls, including deductions for tax, social security, insurance, and other required withholdings.
- Assist with federal and state tax reporting, including quarterly reports and annual W-2s.
- Review all payroll groups for accuracy and correct errors prior to final processing.
- Enter and maintain employee payroll deductions using both manual and automated systems.
- Oversee all mandatory wage garnishments and respond to related inquiries.
- Distribute payroll checks and execute the printing process.
- Assist with payroll tax reconciliations.
- File employee payroll deductions, benefits information, and periodic reports.
- Set the calendar for payrolls, including pay dates and processing schedules.
- Calculate changes in contract amounts and payouts for accrued sick and vacation leave.
- Ensure compliance with all union contracts.
What We're Looking For
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to obtain the appropriate license under New York State Lottery regulations.
- Ability to sit for extended periods and work long hours.
- Ability to make decisions and formulate and communicate ideas.
- Can read and understand spreadsheets.
- Excellent math aptitude and verbal/written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Must regularly lift and/or move up to 10lbs.
- One (1) year of related payroll experience.
Nice to Have
- Associate’s Degree in a related field.
- Experience with the Ultimate Software payroll system.
- Strong Excel skills.
- Experience with Microsoft Office applications.
