Chime is looking for a Payroll and Benefits Coordinator to own the accurate and timely processing of our organization's payroll. In this temporary, part-time role (estimated at 16-32 hours weekly for 6 months with potential to extend), you will partner closely with the Senior Payroll & Benefits Specialist on core processes, data review, and system integrity.
What You'll Do
- Partner on bi-weekly payroll processing in Paylocity.
- Assist with monthly benefit vendor reporting for finance, including invoice review and cost allocation.
- Support weekly timesheet processing and approval workflows.
- Review data for inconsistencies, flag discrepancies, and develop skills to resolve complex payroll issues.
- Contribute ideas to enhance payroll and benefits processes.
- Maintain organized digital records and ensure data integrity across all HR systems.
- Reconcile payroll reports and prepare post-payroll documentation.
- Support HR projects, audits, and annual compliance activities.
What We're Looking For
- 1+ years of hands-on payroll and benefits experience.
- Direct experience with Washington state payroll requirements.
- Strong Excel skills (Pivot Tables, XLOOKUP, SUMIFS) and comfort navigating large datasets.
- High attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to manage sensitive data with discretion.
Nice to Have
- Multi-state payroll experience.
- Knowledge of HRIS systems such as Paylocity, ADP Workforce Now, or UKG.
- NetSuite experience.
- CPP or FPC certification through the American Payroll Association.
- Growing knowledge of wage and hour laws, payroll taxes, and benefits regulations.
