McCormick is hiring a Payroll Analyst

Role Overview

This position leads the complete UK payroll cycle for approximately 1,000 employees within a multinational setting. As a key member of the global payroll team, the analyst ensures precise, compliant, and timely payroll delivery while operating in a hybrid work model.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the full monthly and year-end payroll process for UK employees, including processing and validation of salary adjustments, bonuses, benefits, absences, statutory payments, and terminations.
  • Ensure strict compliance with UK regulations including HMRC, PAYE, NIC, auto-enrolment, and statutory leave, while maintaining adherence to Sox Controls.
  • Prepare payroll submissions for approval and guarantee accurate, on-time execution each cycle.
  • Submit all required tax filings and third-party payments by statutory deadlines.
  • Conduct detailed reconciliations across general ledger interfaces, tax records, pension contributions, benefits, and payroll accounts, resolving any discrepancies promptly.
  • Maintain accurate, up-to-date payroll documentation and support audit readiness for internal and external reviews.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for UK payroll inquiries from employees, HR, and Finance teams.
  • Collaborate with HR Business Partners, Total Rewards, and Finance to ensure data accuracy and process alignment.
  • Support payroll system upgrades, enhancements, and testing initiatives as needed.
  • Provide backup support to payroll teams in Poland, France, Italy, and North America, ensuring continuity across regions.
  • Promote strong governance and compliance practices within payroll operations.

Required Qualifications

  • Degree in Administration, Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.
  • Professional certification through CIPP.
  • Proven track record in managing UK payroll independently within complex, high-volume environments.
  • Thorough understanding of UK payroll legislation and statutory obligations.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel, with strong analytical and reconciliation skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in or supporting multi-country payroll operations.
  • Familiarity with SAP payroll systems.

This is an 18-month fixed-term role based in Haddenham, UK, with a hybrid work arrangement allowing flexibility between office and remote settings.
