Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end payroll processing for Hong Kong, coordinating with internal teams and external vendors to ensure timely and error-free payments, including salary, allowances, deductions, and off-cycle adjustments.
- Ensure compliance with statutory requirements in both Hong Kong and Taiwan, including MPF, IRD, Employment Ordinance, Labour Insurance, National Health Insurance, and Tax Bureau filings.
- Maintain precise employee records in Workday, aligning HR data with payroll systems and supporting lifecycle changes such as onboarding, transfers, and separations.
- Process final payments for departing employees, including leave encashment, tax clearance, and statutory settlements.
- Respond to employee inquiries on payroll and taxation with accuracy and within service level expectations.
- Manage work pass applications, renewals, and cancellations in line with local immigration rules.
- Coordinate onboarding and offboarding logistics, including workspace setup, equipment distribution, IT access, and orientation scheduling.
- Support employment administration tasks such as probation reviews, contract updates, and internal mobility documentation.
- Oversee company-sponsored benefits, including insurance and wellness programs, by assisting with enrollment, claims, and vendor coordination.
- Monitor benefit utilization, identify discrepancies, and support periodic plan evaluations to maintain compliance and relevance.
- Manage daily office operations, including pantry supplies, courier services, vendor relationships, and coordination with building management for facilities and security.
- Support internal events and regional initiatives to enhance workplace culture and engagement.
- Maintain strict data confidentiality and ensure adherence to data protection standards across all HR systems.
- Improve data integrity and operational efficiency by minimizing manual processes and advocating for automation and standardized workflows.
- Prepare for audits and compliance reviews by organizing documentation and supporting reporting needs.
- Partner with HR and regional stakeholders to identify process gaps and implement improvements across the employee lifecycle.
Qualifications
Applicants should bring 5–8 years of HR operations or payroll experience, preferably in a multi-jurisdictional setting. Deep familiarity with Hong Kong and Taiwan payroll regulations, tax frameworks, and statutory contributions is essential. Proficiency in Workday, GSuite, and Excel—including advanced functions like pivot tables and formulas—is required. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively across time zones and teams are critical. Experience with Taiwan’s Labour Insurance, National Health Insurance, and Tax Bureau procedures is a plus.
