Role Overview
We are looking for a detail-oriented Payroll Accountant fluent in German to support our payroll operations. This is a fully remote position with a focus on ensuring accurate and timely processing of payroll for employees in German-speaking countries.
Responsibilities
- Process monthly payroll entries with precision, ensuring all data is correctly recorded and compliant with local labor laws
- Respond to employee inquiries related to wages, deductions, and tax documentation in German
- Collaborate with HR and finance teams to reconcile payroll data and resolve discrepancies
- Prepare and verify reports for social security, tax filings, and other statutory requirements
- Support audits by maintaining organized and up-to-date payroll records
Qualifications
- Fluency in German (written and spoken) with strong communication skills
- Proven experience in payroll processing, preferably within multinational environments
- Familiarity with German payroll regulations and tax systems
- Proficiency in payroll software and advanced Excel skills
- High level of accuracy and ability to meet strict deadlines
