Light is looking for a Payments Delivery Manager to own complex delivery projects for our clients. You will drive timelines, align stakeholders, and remove blockers to deliver new payment capabilities, integrations, and client implementations on time and at quality.
What You'll Do
- Onboard multinational companies, aligning requirements and ensuring smooth go-lives.
- Coordinate with banking institutions like JPMorgan, HSBC, Danske Bank, SEB, Caixa, and others to implement accounts, payments, and rails.
- Manage integrations with third-party platforms and providers.
- Work closely with our Payment Backend Engineer and delivery team to scope, track, and ship projects.
What We're Looking For
- 2–4 years of experience in project management, delivery, or client implementation in FinTech, SaaS, or banking.
- Proven success coordinating multiple external stakeholders (clients, banks, tech vendors).
- Strong understanding of payments (SEPA, SWIFT, virtual accounts, issuing, acquiring, etc.), connections (SFTP, EBICS, APIs etc) and formats (ISO XML Pain001, Pain 002, Camt.53 etc).
- Exceptional communication skills: you keep clients confident, banks aligned, and engineers unblocked.
- Highly organized with experience managing multiple projects in parallel.
- Comfortable with project management practices (Agile, Kanban) and tools (Jira, Notion, etc.).
Nice to Have
- Direct experience working with banks on integrations, account setups, or payments projects.
- Background in consulting, delivery, or client onboarding in a financial/tech context.
- Familiarity with compliance/regulatory constraints in cross-border finance.
- Hands-on technical curiosity — you don't code, but you can translate between business and engineering.
