Accendra Health is hiring a Patient Qualification Specialist- Remote

About the Role

Help patients access the care they need by verifying insurance coverage and securing necessary authorizations. In this fully remote position, you’ll play a vital role in streamlining the patient onboarding process by reviewing medical documentation, confirming clinical requirements, and ensuring compliance with individual health plans.

What You’ll Do

  • Review incoming patient referrals and validate required documentation from referral sources
  • Contact insurance providers to obtain authorizations and clarify coverage details
  • Communicate clearly with patients and healthcare providers to resolve gaps in information
  • Identify recurring issues and collaborate with internal teams to improve processes
  • Support field operations by delivering timely, accurate feedback that enhances care delivery
  • Build strong working relationships with clinical and operational teams across the organization
  • Contribute to a positive workplace culture by supporting employee engagement initiatives

What We’re Looking For

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1–3 years of experience in healthcare, insurance, or a related field
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Work Environment

This is a remote role requiring a quiet, distraction-free workspace. Candidates must be based in and authorized to work within the United States. Regular collaboration with team members across departments is expected.
