Join Anduril Industries as a Patient Outreach Coordinator (Pharmacy Technician), where you will proactively expand the specialty pharmacy patient population. You will be responsible for outbound calls and patient education for the Shields Specialty Pharmacy Program.
What You'll Do
- Make outbound phone calls to eligible patients to enroll them with Shields Partner Pharmacy.
- Educate patients on the services offered by the Shields Specialty Pharmacy Program.
- Communicate with patients over the phone to explain the program's value.
- Access patient EMR systems and review chart notes prior to outbound calls to understand patient conditions.
- Identify medications requiring special storage and handling, such as hazardous or refrigerated medications.
- Identify necessary supplies for select medications, such as sharps containers, needles/syringes, alcohol swabs, and band-aids.
- Be flexible with shift times: M-F: 8:30AM to 4:30PM or 12:00PM to 8:00PM, with occasional Saturday shifts (11:00AM-4:00PM).
- Perform other duties as assigned.
What We're Looking For
- High school diploma or GED.
- 0-1 years' experience as a Pharmacy Technician or in a related role.
- Ability to be flexible on shift times.
- Strong verbal communication and phone skills.
- Enjoys talking with patients and can empathize with their situation.
- Ability to quickly build rapport with patients over the phone.
- Self-motivation and ability to work effectively independently with a focus on patient advocacy.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and prioritization skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Ability to learn new processes and implement them quickly.
- Results-oriented with a positive outlook and a clear focus on high quality.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Prior customer service experience / outbound call experience.
- Required Licensure/Certification: Must be an experienced pharmacy technician. Must commit to obtaining required GA licensure within a mutually agreed timeframe. Continued employment is contingent upon meeting these requirements.
Nice to Have
- Bachelor's Degree.
- Nationally certified from PTCB or ExCPT (or equivalent).
- Opportunity to become nationally certified PTCB or ExCPT within 6 months of hire via Shields classes.
