M3 Wake Research is seeking a Patient Enrollment Coordinator to join our Patient Enrollment Department. In this fully remote, entry-level role, you will be responsible for the timely enrollment of participants for all clinical research studies at your assigned site. You will play a key role in advancing global health research and will have significant opportunities for career development and growth.
What You'll Do
- Maintain full ownership of initiating phone contact with potential study participants from various lead sources.
- Conduct phone-based pre-screening interviews to determine participant eligibility for onsite screening visits.
- Provide detailed study information and answer patient inquiries regarding criteria, procedures, and logistics.
- Deliver outstanding customer service in every patient interaction.
- Assess patient eligibility for other enrolling studies and conduct additional pre-screening as needed.
- Schedule onsite screening visits for eligible patients within established guidelines.
- Input and record patient information and call notes into the CTMS database and other systems.
- Track and report call outcomes and other data as directed.
- Attend regular and ad-hoc patient enrollment and staff meetings.
- Maintain compliance with all standardized enrollment processes, HIPAA, FDA, GCP, IRB guidelines, and company SOPs.
What We're Looking For
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- At least 1 year of inbound/outbound call center, phone-based, or public-facing customer service experience.
- Highly developed skills in communication clarity, accuracy, and attention to detail.
- Demonstrated capacity to learn complex information and communicate it in easy-to-understand terms.
- Ability to learn and utilize new software and technology.
Nice to Have
- A professional medical certification, associate's, or bachelor’s degree.
- Previous experience as a medical assistant, nurse, or EMT.
- Prior clinical research, healthcare, or medical terminology experience.
