Niva Health is hiring a Patient Care Coordinator (Remote)

Coordinate patient care with purpose and precision in a remote role that connects patients, providers, and care teams. As a Patient Care Coordinator, you’ll ensure every step of the onboarding process runs smoothly, from verifying insurance eligibility to securing timely treatment approvals.

What You’ll Do

  • Review and confirm patient insurance coverage, ensuring eligibility for wound care services.
  • Prepare, submit, and monitor treatment authorizations, keeping records accurate and up to date.
  • Communicate clearly with healthcare providers, case managers, and internal teams to resolve issues quickly.
  • Identify and overcome obstacles in documentation, billing, or access to care to keep patient journeys on track.
  • Maintain organized digital records using EHR systems and internal tracking tools.
  • Work closely with clinical and administrative teams to refine intake and coordination workflows.
  • Take on special projects that improve how care is delivered and experienced.

What You Bring

  • A high school diploma or higher, with preference for coursework in healthcare administration or a related field.
  • 1–3 years of experience in medical administration, insurance verification, or patient intake.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage professionally and compassionately across roles.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Proficiency with EHR platforms and digital communication tools.
  • A solutions-oriented mindset and a commitment to collaborative problem-solving.

Preferred Background

  • Certification in medical billing, coding, or insurance processes.
  • Familiarity with medical terminology or wound care protocols.
  • Experience coordinating between clinical teams and external partners.

Compensation & Work Environment
