What You'll Do
As the Pasture Projects Technical Coordinator, you’ll work directly with farmers and internal teams to advance sustainable land management across a multi-state farm network. You'll lead on-site and remote evaluations to identify pasture needs, guide project planning, and monitor progress through implementation.
You’ll interpret conservation standards to determine project eligibility and ensure alignment with environmental compliance goals. By maintaining clear communication with internal coordinators, you’ll help secure necessary materials such as seeds, shrubs, and construction supplies.
This role requires regular travel to farm locations, where you’ll troubleshoot challenges, verify compliance, and support producers in adopting best practices. You’ll also contribute technical insights for grant applications and reporting, ensuring project feasibility and measurable outcomes.
Collaboration with data teams ensures accurate tracking of implementation metrics, while ongoing evaluation of soil, water, air, and nutrient management practices supports continuous improvement in on-farm sustainability.
Requirements
- 2–3 years of experience in agriculture, livestock, or pasture management
- Proven ability to manage multiple complex projects with strong organizational and time-management skills
- Detail-oriented mindset with the capacity to see broader operational goals
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Ability to work independently, plan daily tasks, and manage field logistics
- Proficiency with Microsoft and Google productivity tools, Dropbox, and digital file systems
- Comfort working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
Work Mode
This is a remote position with up to 75% travel across the farm network, primarily based in the greater Ohio area and near Fort Wayne, IN. Field presence is essential for site assessments, farmer engagement, and project oversight.
