What You'll Do
Lead the development and expansion of the valuation practice across the North East, creating a clear strategy to grow the regional footprint. Take ownership of high-value valuation assignments, including sign-off on Red Book-compliant reports covering commercial, mixed-use, development, and specialist properties. Provide expert, data-driven advice to institutional clients such as lenders, investment funds, developers, and corporate occupiers.
Oversee complex valuation projects, ensuring technical precision and adherence to RICS standards. Play a key role in shaping the national valuation team’s strategic direction, contributing to service innovation and operational improvements. Mentor and guide junior surveyors to build a capable, high-performing team. Represent the business at industry forums and client meetings to strengthen visibility and generate new opportunities.
Lead on tender submissions, fee proposals, and client pitches. Maintain and expand a network of regional contacts while ensuring all outputs meet internal quality controls and regulatory requirements. Support continuous enhancement of valuation processes, systems, and governance frameworks.
Requirements
- Significant post-qualification experience in property valuation, ideally at Partner or Director level within a recognised firm
- Strong technical proficiency in Red Book-compliant valuations across diverse asset types
- Proven ability to manage and grow commercial client relationships
- Experience leading teams and delivering strategic initiatives
- MRICS or FRICS qualification required
- RICS Registered Valuer status is mandatory
