Heartstrings Pet Hospice, In-Home Euthanasia & Aftercare is looking for a Part-Time Veterinarian to join our team serving the Portland, Oregon metro area. You will provide compassionate in-home euthanasia, hospice, and palliative care, working independently in the field while being fully supported by our collaborative medical team and operational infrastructure. This role is designed for a veterinarian seeking meaningful, purpose-driven work with significant autonomy, flexibility, and a low-stress environment focused on supporting pets and families.
What You'll Do
- Provide in-home euthanasia, hospice, and palliative care in a compassionate, Fear Free–aligned manner.
- Support families through the end-of-life process with empathy, patience, and professionalism.
- Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation.
- Collaborate with Heartstrings’ medical leadership and support teams.
- Participate in ongoing training, education, and clinical development.

Work Mode
This is a local-city position requiring travel to client homes across the Portland, Beaverton, Tigard, Lake Oswego, Milwaukie, Gresham, OR and Vancouver, WA area.
