Penn State is looking for a Part-time Research Assistant to support research and coordinate a community coalition aimed at reducing maternal mortality. This is a graduate assistant position running from September 2025 to May 2026, offering hybrid work flexibility and reporting directly to the Principal Investigator.
What You'll Do
- Conduct literature reviews
- Support project coordination and logistics
- Assist with the implementation of community-based interventions
- Contribute to drafting reports, research abstracts, and manuscripts
What We're Looking For
- Current graduate student with at least one-year of coursework toward an MPH or related degree
- Strong interest or experience in program coordination
- Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Highly motivated, detail-oriented, and self-motivated
- Ability to learn quickly and independently
Nice to Have
- Experience with SAS and/or R is a plus
- Passion in maternal health, community engagement, and public health is highly desirable
