Produce and support high-quality agricultural radio content for a leading news station, playing a key role in delivering timely, accurate information to farming audiences. This part-time position centers on content development, broadcast coordination, and technical monitoring for a widely heard farm-focused program.
What You'll Do
- Write, edit, and proofread news scripts, announcements, pre-recorded segments, and promotional content tailored to agricultural audiences.
- Assist with live and pre-recorded programming, including timing coordination, commercial playback, and remote broadcast operations.
- Monitor on-air output to ensure technical quality, regulatory compliance, and accurate content delivery.
- Operate broadcast equipment, manage program logs, and respond to technical issues by coordinating with engineering staff.
- Support emergency communications, breaking news updates, and public service alerts as needed.
- Conduct research on agricultural topics and industry trends to inform programming and reporting.
- Participate in station events and cross-functional projects across sales, programming, and community outreach.
Requirements
- Demonstrated interest in and understanding of the agricultural sector.
- Strong writing, editing, and verbal communication abilities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and social media platforms.
- Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and adapt to changing schedules.
- Flexibility to work non-traditional hours as required by broadcast needs.
