Support a national insurance defense team as a Paralegal Specialist, managing bodily injury litigation from initiation through resolution. This remote position, based in Texas, plays a key role in preparing cases for arbitration and trial while working directly with attorneys in a structured legal setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee litigation files from start to conclusion, including preparation for hearings, arbitration, and trial
- Prepare, file, and manage court documents such as pleadings and motions
- Respond to discovery requests and assist with motion practice
- Obtain and organize medical records and coordinate expert reviews and disclosures
- Manage e-filing processes in Texas state courts
- Track critical deadlines and ensure compliance with procedural rules
- Collaborate with legal teams to maintain accurate and complete case documentation
- Occasionally support in-office operations, approximately three times per month
Qualifications
Candidates must hold a 2-year paralegal certificate from an ABA-approved program. Prior experience in insurance defense or civil litigation is strongly preferred. Ideal applicants will have a proven ability to manage multiple cases efficiently in a fast-moving environment.
Strong organizational and communication skills are essential, along with familiarity with legal procedures such as discovery, motions, and court submissions. Proficiency with legal software, e-filing systems, and case management platforms is required.
