This hybrid position supports a broad spectrum of legal functions within a global enterprise, reporting directly to senior litigation counsel. You will play a key role in managing complex litigation, internal compliance initiatives, and cross-border legal operations, working seamlessly between remote and office environments in Belen, Costa Rica.
What You'll Do
You will assist in managing high-stakes litigation, including a major multi-district data breach case in U.S. federal court. Your responsibilities include drafting and organizing legal responses, maintaining discovery records, and supporting legal analysis. You will coordinate with external law firms and internal departments to ensure timely and accurate submissions.
In data privacy, you will help map personal data usage, conduct privacy impact assessments, and manage data subject access requests under international regulations. You will also support export compliance efforts, including SDN/OFAC screenings and product classification audits.
Additional duties include conducting trademark searches for new product names, filing copyright registrations, reviewing employment policies, and assisting with the revision of employment and vendor agreements. You will draft and analyze contracts such as NDAs, service agreements, and distribution contracts, and perform legal research across multiple practice areas.

- Proven ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing, within a corporate legal context
- Demonstrated flexibility in handling diverse legal tasks and adapting to new subject areas
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments while upholding legal standards
- Resume submitted in English
