BMW Group is looking for a Paint Process & Production Advanced Specialist to lead the launch and optimization of painting processes, from raw materials to the final premium finish. You will manage complex projects for new car models and materials, ensuring high quality and resource efficiency.
What You'll Do
- Manage the introduction of new car models and painting materials, turning complex projects into clear timelines and budgets.
- Ensure the stability of dipping and painting processes to meet all production volume, safety, and cost targets.
- Drive energy saving initiatives and ensure the economical use of chemicals and materials across the paint shop.
- Act as the main contact for paint suppliers to ensure all raw materials meet strict quality standards and resolve any claims.
- Oversee process audits and color matching activities to guarantee that every vehicle meets premium finish requirements.
- Use technical expertise to solve complex quality issues, with the authority to stop production if standards are not met.
- Identify ways to reduce costs and improve quality by applying lessons learned and collaborating with other technical teams.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Mechatronic, or Industrial Engineering.
- 4+ years in automotive manufacturing (OEM or Tier 1/2).
- Specific experience in Paint Shop environments or with paint suppliers.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- English proficiency at a B2 level.
