Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT) is hiring a PA Program Clinical Coordinator for a twelve-month Lecturer position within the College of Health Sciences and Technology. In this role, you will combine teaching, service, student advising, and clinical coordination responsibilities to support the physician assistant program.
What You'll Do
- Actively participate in classroom teaching and instruction of undergraduate and graduate students.
- Provide ongoing evaluation and outcome analysis of students, assessment, and curriculum for accreditation and program review.
- Work with the Academic Coordinator and Program Director to prepare Self Study materials and applications for ongoing accreditation.
- Maintain current professional certification and New York State licensure (or eligibility).
- Participate in local, regional, and/or national professional organizations and attend meetings.
- Maintain current clinical expertise by practicing or gaining clinical exposure in a local hospital, clinic, or private practice.
- Serve as a liaison to the local PA and medical communities.
- Provide formal student advisement and documentation to a designated group of PA students.
- Participate in PA program meetings, recruitment, admission, and graduation events.
- Participate in ongoing continuous assessment and other program accreditation work.
- Participate in committee assignments at the College of Health Sciences and Technology and Institute level.
What We're Looking For
- Master's degree from an accredited program in Physician Assistant or possess an MD or DO degree.
- Experience in clinical and/or didactic medical education.
- Current professional certification and New York State licensure (or eligibility).
- Minimum of three years of clinical experience.
Team & Environment
You will work with the Academic Coordinator and Program Director within the PA program, reporting directly to the Program Director.
