Responsibilities
- Develop and adapt lesson plans throughout the academic year as needed
- Adjust teaching methods to support diverse learning needs and abilities
- Keep thorough and up-to-date records of each student's academic and developmental progress
- Apply proven, research-backed teaching strategies in daily instruction and planning
- Oversee and guide student conduct within the classroom setting
- Foster an encouraging and productive classroom atmosphere conducive to learning
- Use school-endorsed curricula that acknowledge students’ varied cultural, linguistic, and educational backgrounds
- Enforce established school-wide behavioral and cultural standards
- Engage with families to discuss student progress in both academic and social-emotional areas
- Integrate educational technology into regular classroom activities to enhance learning
- Assist in organizing and carrying out non-academic school events when required
- Work collaboratively with fellow staff members through clear communication and teamwork
- Complete additional assigned tasks as necessary

- Must successfully pass federal and state criminal background screenings
- Capable of monitoring students in multiple school environments such as the playground and cafeteria
