Responsibilities
- Design and implement lesson plans with flexibility to adapt throughout the academic year
- Adjust teaching strategies to accommodate diverse learning needs and abilities
- Keep thorough and up-to-date records of each student's academic and behavioral progress
- Apply instructional methods supported by educational research in daily teaching
- Establish and maintain appropriate classroom discipline and student conduct
- Foster an inclusive and encouraging learning atmosphere
- Use curricula that recognize and reflect students’ varied cultural, linguistic, and educational backgrounds
- Support and uphold school-wide standards for behavior and school culture
- Engage with families to discuss student progress in academics and social-emotional development
- Integrate technology tools into instruction to enhance student learning
- Assist in organizing and executing non-instructional school activities when necessary
- Work collaboratively with fellow educators and staff through regular communication
- Complete additional tasks as required by school administration
