As an Outside Sales Representative based in Waterbury, CT, you'll play a key role in expanding the adoption of restaurant technology solutions through direct outreach and relationship-driven selling. You'll connect with local restaurateurs and business owners, primarily through in-person interactions at Restaurant Depot locations, to understand their operational challenges and recommend effective tools for improving efficiency and increasing revenue.
Key Responsibilities
- Initiate face-to-face conversations with restaurant owners to assess needs and introduce integrated solutions such as point-of-sale systems and online ordering platforms.
- Schedule and conduct on-site demonstrations at client locations, showcasing how technology can streamline daily operations and enhance customer experience.
- Use in-depth product knowledge to guide prospects through the sales process, focusing on consultative techniques that align solutions with specific business goals.
- Install Clover systems at customer sites and deliver practical training to ensure confident and effective use from day one.
- Maintain ethical standards and build trust by prioritizing client needs, supporting seamless integration, and fostering long-term relationships.
- Travel regularly within the Waterbury area, partnering with Restaurant Depot to identify new opportunities and expand market presence.
Qualifications
Candidates should have a high school diploma and at least two years of experience in self-driven, quota-based sales environments, particularly working with small to mid-sized businesses. Proven success in cold calling, lead generation, and field sales is essential. A background in technology solutions is beneficial but not required. Strong interpersonal skills, initiative, and a commitment to ethical engagement are critical for success in this role.
Preference will be given to applicants with three or more years of sales experience or a bachelor’s degree.
