About the Role

Global Payments is hiring an Outside Sales Representative-Software (Software Relationship Manager) to join our team. You will be responsible for prospecting and presenting our Heartland Point of Sale solutions, both in person and over the phone, to small and mid-sized merchants and restaurateurs. Reporting to a District Manager, you will work within a fast sales cycle to identify needs and close deals.

What You'll Do

  • Close sales of our business solutions with merchants throughout your assigned area.
  • Work with your District Manager to set in-person appointments through your network and referral partnerships.
  • Run scheduled appointments, uncover client needs, and present Heartland Point of Sale solutions to close sales.
  • Prospect new clients.
  • Maintain client records in our CRM system, currently Atlas.
  • Achieve minimum production requirements, including setting first-time appointments, to secure quota.
  • Build and develop knowledge of our product portfolio and the financial technology industry.
  • Attend weekly team meetings and weekly one-on-ones with your leader.
  • Explain our value proposition and demonstrate our cloud-based Point of Sale solution.
  • Upsell current clients on other Heartland products and services.
  • Maintain regular communication with the Point of Sale District Manager.

What We're Looking For

  • 18 years of age or older.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Live in an area relative to the job posting location.
  • Ability to be in the field a minimum of 75% of the time.
  • Excellent prospecting, communication, presentation, and networking skills.
  • Works well independently and as part of a team.
  • Incentive-driven sales 'hunter'.
  • Professional demeanor and impeccable integrity.
  • High sense of urgency and innate sales talent.
  • Enjoys cold-calling and speaking with people face-to-face.

Nice to Have

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • At least two years of relevant experience.
  • Knowledge of the Restaurant and/or Retail industry.

You will report to a District Manager and receive coaching from a Director.
