United Franchise Group (UFG, Inc.) is looking for an Outpatient Registered Nurse - RN to join our team. This entry-level position in the Clinical Advancement Program (CAP) is responsible for providing and coordinating comprehensive care for patients with End Stage Kidney Disease (ESKD). You will assess, plan, intervene, and evaluate patient outcomes while participating in decision-making, education, and quality improvement.
What You'll Do
- Perform systematic collection and analysis of patient data before, during, and after hemodialysis, documenting findings and adjusting treatment plans.
- Assess patient and family learning needs to provide initial and ongoing education about their condition and care.
- Direct and provide all aspects of safe, effective daily hemodialysis therapy in collaboration with patient care staff.
- Administer medications as prescribed, documenting medical justification and effectiveness.
- Initiate or assist with emergency response measures as needed.
- Serve as a resource for the health care team, participating in staff training and orientation.
- Ensure proper laboratory collection, processing, and shipping procedures are followed.
- Document and update nursing assessments and plans of care in collaboration with the Interdisciplinary Team.
- Ensure patients are informed about transplant and treatment modality options.
- Complete CAP requirements to advance professionally within the program.
- Perform all other duties as assigned by your Supervisor.
What We're Looking For
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
- Current and appropriate state Registered Nurse licensure.
- Current or successful completion of CPR BLS Certification.
- Must meet all practice requirements in the state of employment.
- This is an entry-level role for RNs with less than 1 year of Nephrology Nursing experience within the last two years.
Nice to Have
- Minimum of 9 months experience as a Registered Nurse.
- Chronic or acute hemodialysis experience.
Team & Environment
You will perform essential functions under the direction of the Supervisor and with guidance from the Clinical Educator, Preceptor, or in collaboration with other RNs. After meeting experience requirements, you may provide oversight as a Team Leader or designated Nurse in Charge.
