Responsibilities
- Design and lead interactive, nature-focused recreational programs in pop-up formats
- Oversee content creation, operational planning, and safety protocols to ensure high-quality educational experiences for participants of all ages
- Operate a commercial van to transport staff and materials to event sites
- Support volunteer recruitment and provide training as needed
- Help promote programs through marketing and outreach efforts
- Collaborate with local community organizations and partners
- Ensure proper care and maintenance of program supplies and equipment
- Track and manage program data and performance metrics
- Serve as a representative at public events and community gatherings
- Demonstrate enthusiasm and experience in working with youth and families
- Perform additional tasks as assigned
Compensation
$20.00 - $23.00 per hour
Work Arrangement
On-site — New Bedford, MA, Fall River, MA

Part of the Mobile Engagement team, reporting to the Mobile Engagement Unit Manager

- This is a part-time, temporary, nonexempt position
- Scheduled weekly hours range from 10 to 20
- Employment period runs from February through September, with potential for limited off-season work
- Summer programming takes place outdoors or at designated indoor rain locations
- Events may be held indoors or outdoors based on season and weather conditions
- Program sites include partner organizations, municipal parks, gardens, public festivals, and properties managed by the organization
