Responsibilities
- Accountable for all Outbye operations, including though not limited to; mine services, roadways, secondary support, shotcreting and general infrastructure maintenance.
- Ensure all operations are conducted in strict adherence with Qld Coal Mining Safety & Health Act, Regulations, other legal and corporate requirements.
- Coordinate and collaborate with other departments, such as production, engineering, and safety teams, to achieve organisational goals.
- Troubleshoot and resolve operational issues, minimizing downtime and ensuring continuity in coal production.
- Lead, mentor, and support team members, fostering a culture of safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement that underpin the success of Moranbah North mine.
- Prepare reports on performance metrics, safety incidents, and other relevant data for senior management.
- Actively participate in the development of the Life of Mine planning, working closely with the commercial department to ensure costs are managed with the budget guidelines.
Requirements
- Seasoned mining professional with a deep understanding of coal mining operations.
- Experience managing teams in an underground mining environment.
- Understanding of safety regulations.

Structure: Oversees Outbye workforce and collaborates with production, engineering, and safety teams.. Reports to: Operations Manager
