Responsibilities
- Provide early-stage recommendations on optical architecture and LED selection.
- Perform optical simulations and 3D optimization based on product PRD requirements.
- Analyze optical measurement results to evaluate and predict product illumination performance (e.g., uniformity and efficiency).
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize light guide components and LED brightness tuning.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Optical Engineering, Physics, or a related field.
- At least 3+ years of experience in optical design and validation.
- Solid understanding of geometrical optics and/or non-imaging optics.
- Experience with optical simulation tools such as Lighttools (preferred), TracePro, or similar.
- Basic 3D modeling skills with tools such as SolidWorks (preferred), Pro/E, or equivalent.
- Ability to read and interpret LED datasheets, including key optical and electrical specifications.
Nice to Have
- Experience with Lighttools or advanced ray-tracing methods
- Experience in non-imaging optical system optimization
- Familiarity with tolerance analysis or DOE.
- Strong experience with AI tool is a plus.
