About the Role

ANI Pharmaceuticals is hiring an Ophthalmology Account Executive for the Greater Pittsburgh, PA area. Reporting to the Rare Disease Area Business Director, you will join the Ophthalmology Division within the Commercial Rare Disease Team. Your core mission is to drive physician and patient identification, market development, and disease awareness for our ophthalmology portfolio, achieving territory sales targets through strategic account plans.

What You'll Do

  • Drive demand through clinical selling and education to healthcare providers on assigned products.
  • Build and execute a territory and account-specific strategy to develop the market and increase brand awareness in Ophthalmology and Retina.
  • Continuously assess sales opportunities within your markets and accounts to maintain and grow the business.
  • Prioritize resources, activities, and time to optimize access to and development of accounts with the highest sales potential.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key physicians by maximizing their time through detailed call planning and analysis.
  • Collaborate with the Ophthalmology brand team and facilitate connections with internal stakeholders like MSLs and Market Access.
  • Partner externally with key accounts and physicians to drive patient identification through market development and physician education.
  • Demonstrate the highest standards of integrity and compliance in all activities.

What We're Looking For

  • A Bachelor’s degree is required.
  • A minimum of 5 years of demonstrated success in rare disease, retina, and/or specialty pharmaceutical sales.
  • A valid driver's license and the ability to travel 50% or more as needed, including occasional overnight travel.
  • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed for physician or patient events.
  • Understanding and experience working with in-house patient support services.

Nice to Have

  • An advanced degree in business or science.
  • Extensive experience calling on Retina Specialists, Ophthalmologists, and Eye Care Professionals.
  • Sales experience within multiple ophthalmology sub-specialty areas.
  • Product launch experience, including a working knowledge of government and commercial payers.
  • Understanding of the buy and bill process, patient services, and specialty channel distribution.

Team & Environment

You will report directly to the ANI Rare Disease Area Business Director - Ophthalmology and will be an integral part of the Commercial Rare Disease Team within the Ophthalmology Division.

Work Mode
