Responsibilities
- Installs and assembles process and support systems within designated facilities, often using heavy machinery like forklifts, telehandlers, and overhead cranes.
- Starts up, runs, and maintains mechanical and electrical systems during operations.
- Reviews, prepares, and follows procedures for commissioning, operating, and maintaining systems and components.
- Conducts acceptance tests after equipment installation, including hydrostatic and pneumatic testing, I/O verification, and calibration of electrical parts.
- Supports daily facility functions such as initiating, monitoring, and shutting down processes and auxiliary systems.
- Collects and analyzes chemical samples using standard lab tools and methods.
- Tracks system performance by reviewing and analyzing process data, and responds to malfunctions to ensure safe conditions.
- Completes routine preventative and corrective maintenance tasks like changing filters, cleaning equipment, and replacing consumables.
- Diagnoses and resolves equipment issues as needed.
- Implements lockout-tagout procedures on mechanical and electrical systems for safety during maintenance.
- Follows established protocols to carry out hazardous operations safely.
- Collaborates with engineering personnel to support research and development testing activities.
- Performs additional duties as required.
