At Cordia, we are looking for an Operator to join our team of professional remote operations personnel. In this role, you will gain broad experience operating and controlling critical energy assets, ensuring high reliability through effective coordination between field teams and external entities.
What You'll Do
- Coordinate unit availability, outage schedules, and start-up/shutdown times with the operations team, transmission operators, and energy management.
- Execute unit start-up and shutdown procedures as directed.
- Monitor and analyze operating data, following standard procedures and making notifications on abnormal conditions.
- Alert the operations team to abnormal facility conditions and dispatch on-call technicians as needed.
- Follow established safety and operating procedures rigorously.
- Communicate with outside entities during troubleshooting and relay information to field technicians to resolve unit outages quickly.
- Assist with lockout/tagout activities.
- Work rotating 12-hour shifts to support dispatch, planned, and forced maintenance activities.
- Maintain accurate event and data logs, generating reports on generation, safety, and availability.
- Assist in field maintenance activities under senior technician guidance as needed.
- Perform other shift duties as assigned.
What We're Looking For

- Strong knowledge in the use of PCs and software like Excel, Word, MS Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Power plant operations experience.
- Ability to work well independently or as an integral team member.
- Ability to work extended hours on short notice when required.
- A high school diploma.
Nice to Have
- Two years of power plant or CHP experience.
- Experience with Jenbacher or other reciprocating engines, HMI, SCADA, and DAS operations.
- Remote operation of power plant facilities.

Work Mode
