Univar Solutions is hiring an Operations Supervisor

At Univar Solutions, the Operations Supervisor is central to the efficient and safe daily function of a large distribution branch. You will lead operational activities, manage the facility and budget, and supervise a team of material handlers, reporting directly to the Branch Operations Manager.

What You'll Do

• Facilitate compliance with corporate health, safety, and environmental policies, including required training and documentation.
• Support sales efforts while ensuring all activities meet regulatory, health, and safety standards.
• Lead the branch's emergency response team.
• Support the branch health and safety program and conduct safety audits.
• Conduct daily pre-shift meetings and communicate clear expectations to employees.
• Cultivate employee ownership of branch operations and foster a positive work environment.
• Participate in inspections from outside agencies such as DOT, EPA, FDA, and DHS.
• Provide direct supervision for Material Handlers.

What We're Looking For

• High School Diploma or GED
• 3 – 5 years of demonstrated experience in operations.
• Knowledge of chemical distribution facility operations.
• Demonstrated proficiency in using Microsoft Office applications, specifically Excel and Word.

Nice to Have

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Experience with SAP or similar ERP systems.
