BAE Systems Intelligence & Security is hiring an Operations Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will provide crucial technical support for PUWER (Provision Use Work Equipment Regulations) assessments across a diverse range of site equipment. Your work will directly support the safe, legal, and compliant operation of work equipment through governance, advice, and information.
What You'll Do
- Provide technical support to facilitate and record the completion of PUWER assessments on workshop equipment, mobile plant, cranes, and bespoke development work equipment.
- Offer timely and consistent PUWER information, advice, and governance to department Managers across the site.
- Support assessments for a wide portfolio including FLTs, MWEPs, pallet trucks, cranes, electric hoists, roller shutter doors, cantilever gates, barriers, radiological, and robotic equipment.
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience in an Electrical/Mechanical role within a machining environment.
- Ability to interpret technical information and engineering drawings.
Nice to Have
- Working towards a NEBOSH certification.
- A good understanding of engineering standards.
- A maintenance or SHE (Safety, Health, Environment) background.
- Previous experience with PUWER assessments.
Team & Environment
You'll join a small team of 4 members and have the opportunity to liaise with a wide variety of stakeholders and teams, including site engineering, site authority, maintenance, and production.
