Cleveland-Cliffs Inc. is hiring an Operations Coordinator - 1st Shift in Walbridge, Ohio. In this onsite role, you will plan, direct, and coordinate activities related to 5S workplace organization and support the operation and maintenance of the BLM LT7 Laser cutting machine. Your focus will be on ensuring safety procedures are followed while working efficiently to achieve operational goals.
What You'll Do
- Provide leadership to foster employee involvement in developing and improving 5S workplace organization.
- Ensure all employees follow all facets of the Safety program.
- Learn, operate, and lead repairs on the BLM LT7 Laser cutting machine.
- Communicate timely and accurately with all levels of the organization.
- Work a flexible schedule, including occasional weekends.
- Provide support to achieve the highest levels of safety, quality, and productivity.
- Coordinate and support Safety and 5S activities, including corrective actions.
- Maintain accurate documentation and follow through on assigned projects.
- Maintain cost controls and research cost-effective alternatives.
- Present and implement new ideas to improve 5S workplace organization.
- Work with outside contractors both onsite and through remote access.
- Adapt and prioritize changes in assigned tasks.
What We're Looking For
- Associate degree or comparable experience is required.
- Ability to complete the BLM LT7 Laser Operator and Maintenance training program.
- Experience operating an aerial lift, boom lift, and scissor lift.
- Strong time management skills with the ability to promote teamwork and lead by example.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Microsoft Excel.
- An excellent attendance record.
- Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization.
