Kiewit Corporation is hiring an Operational Estimator to support Kiewit Nuclear Solutions' expanding nuclear market. This mid-career role is responsible for quantity takeoffs, project status, change orders, and work package development across civil, structural, mechanical, and electrical disciplines.
What You'll Do
- Review, analyze, and interpret Contract Documents including RFPs and specifications.
- Perform all tasks related to quantity takeoff and pricing for design-build projects in the nuclear market.
- Support the scoping and development of work packages.
- Coordinate with estimators and engineers to provide constructability input and value engineering for preliminary project plans.
- Participate in planning processes, brainstorms, and working sessions with estimators and engineers.
- Identify, quantify, and communicate risk throughout the estimating process.
- Perform site visits and investigations as needed.
What We're Looking For
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience in estimating and performing quantity takeoffs.
- Proficiency in one core discipline.
- Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- Strong mathematical and computer skills.
- Ability to meet deadlines and possess a strong work ethic.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong interpersonal, organizational skills, and good attention to detail with the ability to recognize discrepancies.
- Willingness to travel as job requirements demand.
- U.S. citizenship is required to obtain the necessary facility-specific clearance.
Nice to Have
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
