About the Role

This role involves monitoring, maintaining, and repairing mechanical and electrical systems within mission-critical environments. The engineer ensures uninterrupted operations through preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and compliance with safety protocols.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and operate HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems in critical facilities
  • Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on equipment
  • Respond to system alarms and emergencies promptly
  • Maintain accurate logs and operational records
  • Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues efficiently
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and environmental standards
  • Support facility uptime through proactive system management
  • Assist in implementing energy-saving initiatives
  • Work with contractors during equipment installations or repairs
  • Follow lockout/tagout and safety procedures rigorously
  • Operate building automation systems for optimal performance
  • Conduct equipment startups and shutdowns as needed
  • Perform water treatment and air quality monitoring
  • Maintain fuel storage and backup power systems
  • Inspect fire protection systems regularly
  • Assist in emergency response and disaster recovery procedures
  • Ensure proper operation of chillers, boilers, and cooling towers
  • Manage spare parts inventory for critical systems
  • Follow change management protocols for system modifications
  • Support audits and regulatory inspections
  • Participate in training programs for safety and technical skills
  • Document maintenance activities and work orders
  • Coordinate with engineering teams for system upgrades
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of mechanical spaces
  • Adhere to facility access and security policies

Compensation

Work Arrangement

Full-time position with rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and on-call availability as required.

Team

Part of a facility operations team supporting mission-critical environments within a large-scale property management organization.

Physical Demands

  • Must be able to climb ladders and stairs regularly
  • Frequent bending, standing, and walking during shifts
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds when handling equipment
  • Work in varying temperatures including cold and hot environments
