About the role: The technical consulting team is seeking an OpenShift Virtualization and Infrastructure Architect to join our dynamic group. In this role, you will design and guide implementations of container and virtualization infrastructure projects. Your capacity to rapidly learn emerging technologies will be crucial. This is a remote position available across the United States, preferably near an airport, with employment contingent upon state business registration requirements. What you will do: - Deliver successful discovery, analysis and design workshops for small to medium teams of both technical and non-technical backgrounds that shape and influence customer use cases and architecture design decisions. - Scope delivery projects and guide customers through successful pilot and production deployments. - Design, create and deliver content enabling organizational sales, consulting, and support capabilities at scale. - Implement automated, containerized cloud application platform solutions focusing on infrastructure concerns including networking, storage, virtualization, security, logging, monitoring, and system resilience. - Contribute to developing repeatable methodologies and tools to scale service capabilities and lower delivery risk. - Learn new technologies quickly, including container orchestration, registries, build strategies, cloud storage, and software-defined networks. - Travel frequently (30-40 weeks per year) to work alongside leading industry customers. What you will bring: - Experience architecting complex customer solutions in evolving technology domains - Experience leading modern cloud platform consulting engagements - 4+ years in Solution Architect, Enterprise Architect or Architect consulting delivery roles - 2+ years focused on cloud environments and supporting infrastructures - Broad experience across technologies: OpenShift, Virtualization, Linux, Ansible and Artificial Intelligence - Background in customer engagement from consulting services or software services divisions - Experience across industry verticals - Demonstrated strategic advisory experience with senior IT and business executives - Applied knowledge of agile, scrum, and DevOps methodologies - Excellent communication and presentation skills - Willingness to travel 30-40 weeks annually Desired Skills: - CI/CD pipeline implementation experience - Technical expertise with virtualization/cloud technologies - Comfort working with distributed teams and open source communities - QA or ticketing system experience preferred - Infrastructure and operating system security fundamentals After joining, you'll undergo intensive training on Kubernetes, OpenShift, DevOps, and GitOps technologies. Your skill development will progress through structured milestones over 12 months, emphasizing collaborative delivery, technology mastery, and technical leadership. The salary range for this position is $116,270.00 - $191,840.00, determined by qualifications, location, experience, and market value.
