Responsibilities
- Analysts will perform research and analysis on a myriad of data sources and initiate leads.
- Screen, prioritize, and develop leads on incoming cases.
- Enter leads into the leads management system of record.
- Identify key targeting data (e.g., addresses, vehicles, places of employment, associates, etc.); collect and include additional intelligence of value to officer and operational safety, pattern(s) of travel, and potential criminal activity/criminal indicators.
- Ensure data fields in the system of record are updated, accurate, and complete. Attach pertinent photographs, reports, and correspondence.
- Once entered, leads will be reviewed by PERC or NCATC federal staff for accuracy, quality, and completeness before disseminating them to ICE Field Offices.
- Develop and/or enhance leads as directed by TOD staff or according to established priorities.
- Use digital methods to conduct all source and open-source research and analysis on matters of national security in support of ongoing investigations.
- Assess foreign and domestic-based, publicly available information to identify trends, patterns, and relationships that provide unique insights to address intelligence requirements.
- Exploit data from specific sources and raw intelligence and compile them to validate intelligence collection requirements.
- Identify trends, detect high-risk areas for weapons proliferation, and prioritize enforcement approaches by applying research and advanced analytics.
- Deliver accurate, complete, and timely data to users across the organization.
- Work with sensitive information within the guidelines of statutes, regulations, and policies governing the customer.
- Answer and track incoming phone calls and elicit details from the caller to identify possible allegations and specific actionable information.
- Maintain confidentiality of information.
- Review web tips received online to identify possible allegations and specific actionable information.
- Compare viable tips to existing information and process as necessary.
- Analyze content of phone and web tips to determine if allegation is within ICE jurisdiction; as dictated by current procedure, policy, or instruction.
- Perform research in sensitive, law enforcement, DHS, and open-source databases to identify reported subjects, immigration status, and criminal history.
- Accurately document information received from a tipster and reference findings obtained from law enforcement or open-source systems.
- Write detailed reports to document research results, identify the appropriate field office for report dissemination and upload the report into the required database.
Requirements
- U.S. Citizenship
- Ability to obtain ICE suitability (current ICE or DHS suitability is preferred)
- Bachelor’s degree or higher and one year of experience performing primarily social media, and open-source information research, targeting, and analysis
- Associate’s degree and two years of experience performing primarily social media and open-source information research, targeting, and analysis
- High school diploma or GED and three years of experience performing primarily social media and open-source information research, targeting, and analysis
- Shall provide support in accordance with NCATC duty hours (i.e., Monday through Friday 7:00 am to 6:30 pm (Eastern Time) or PERC duty hours (24x7, 365 days per year)
- Work hours are to be aligned with the NCATC’s and PERC’s established hours

Compensation
USD $60,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
