Responsibilities
- Unload catering equipment from the truck and prepare the kitchen space at the start of each shift
- Arrange and maintain kitchen and serving zones in a neat and professional manner
- Follow directions from the Lead Chef to prepare ingredients and support meal service
- Ensure all food is plated attractively, served safely, and stored according to health regulations
- Perform cooking tasks including protein preparation, chopping, mise en place organization, plating, and mixing as assigned

- This is a part-time, non-exempt position
- Work hours depend on event calendars and vary significantly by season
- Availability for evening and weekend shifts is mandatory
- Schedules are managed through a mobile app where staff can accept or decline shifts based on availability
- Reliable personal transportation is required
- Occasional travel to remote event locations, including Marfa, is necessary with team-assisted transport options available
- Kitchen team members must bring at least one knife and wear the required uniform
- Position is classified as 1099 contractor
