Up Education is looking for an Online Tutor - Business for a fully remote, full-time permanent position. In this role, you will directly shape the next generation of business professionals in New Zealand by sharing your experience and skills within an energetic online asynchronous learning environment.
What You'll Do
- Connect with students through facilitated asynchronous delivery via the platform’s forums, messaging, and live sessions.
- Deliver and grade assessments, ensuring students are evaluated to prescribed national and local qualification standards.
- Participate in the continuous improvement of course content and learning resources.
- Provide subject-related support to online students in a caring and encouraging manner via the online learning platform and communication channels.
- Keep records of accurate student data, assessment results, student participation, student-at-risk, and other required documentation.
- Provide basic pastoral care and support to the students.
What We're Looking For
- A minimum of a Level 5 qualification in business, administration, management, or a related field.
- Proven professional experience in business, management, or administration.
- Strong digital literacy with competency in the Microsoft 365 Suite.
- A keenness to expand your adult teaching skillset as part of your professional development.
- A commitment to Te Tiriti O Waitangi.
Nice to Have
- Experience running a small business with a strong grasp of business, business administration, and management.
- Prior teaching experience is not essential but highly advantageous.
