Perform remote notarial services for customers across the United States using a secure online platform. You'll verify identities, confirm document understanding, and ensure compliance with Virginia state regulations during each session.
What You'll Do
- Conduct online notarizations, including acknowledgments and jurats, for a variety of legal documents
- Validate the identity of signers in accordance with state-specific requirements
- Review documents for completeness and proper notarial wording before certification
- Maintain accurate digital journal entries as mandated by law
- Guide clients through the process, ensuring clarity and confidence in each step
- Report technical issues, suggest platform improvements, and assist with testing when needed
- Manage user interactions and documentation through a dedicated account portal
Requirements
- Active Virginia Notary Public commission and Electronic Notary authorization
- Minimum of six months’ experience as a Remote Online Notary
- Proof of at least $25,000 in error and omission insurance coverage
- Strong focus on accuracy when handling sensitive legal materials
- Clear verbal and written communication abilities
- Proficiency with digital tools and a willingness to learn new software
- Reliable internet connection, webcam, microphone, and a capable computer
- Consistent availability during weekday and weekend hours as scheduled
- Ability to work independently and resolve common document issues efficiently
